Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 6, 2026

Yonatan Larden, a sole proprietor trading as "SocialGS" ("we", "us", "our"), is the seller of the Service and the data controller responsible for the personal information described in this Policy. SocialGS provides an AI-powered social media auditing tool. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to our website and product (the "Service"). By using the Service you agree to this Policy. You can reach us at support@socialgs.com, and our registered contact address is available on request.

1. Information we collect

Information you provide

  • Account information: name, email address and password when you create an account.
  • Audit inputs: the public profile URL, brand name, industry, goals, audience and any competitor URLs you submit.
  • Communications: emails you send us and marketing preferences you set.

Information collected automatically

  • Basic device, browser and log data (IP address, user-agent, timestamps).
  • Product analytics events (pages viewed, features used) to improve the Service.
  • Cookies and similar technologies needed for authentication and session management.

Information collected from third parties

  • Public social media data: when you run an audit we retrieve publicly visible content from the profile URL you submit (posts, captions, hashtags, counts). We do not request or store passwords for any third-party platform.

2. How we use your information

  • To run audits, generate recommendations and display results back to you.
  • To create and secure your account, and provide customer support.
  • To send transactional emails (audit results, security alerts) and — if you opt in — occasional product updates and growth tips.
  • To improve, debug and secure the Service, including preventing abuse.
  • To comply with legal obligations.

3. Legal bases (EEA / UK users)

Where GDPR/UK GDPR applies, we rely on: performance of a contract (running audits you request), legitimate interests (product improvement, security, fraud prevention), consent (marketing emails, optional analytics), and compliance with legal obligations.

4. Sharing your information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with:

  • Service providers that host our infrastructure, database, email delivery and social data collection, bound by contract to protect your data.
  • Stripe, our payment processor and — for orders under Stripe's managed payments service — Merchant of Record, which processes your billing details, transaction history and tax information to complete purchases and handle refunds.
  • Legal and safety recipients when required by law, subpoena, or to protect the rights and safety of users and the public.
  • Business transfers: if we are involved in a merger, acquisition or asset sale, your information may be transferred subject to this Policy.

5. Data retention

We keep account information for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterwards to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes and enforce agreements. Audit records are retained while you have an active account so you can review historical results. You can request deletion at any time (see Section 8).

6. Security

We use industry-standard safeguards including encrypted transport (TLS), encrypted storage at rest, role-based access controls and row-level security on our database. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. International transfers

Our infrastructure providers may process data in the United States and other regions. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses) for cross-border transfers.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, export or restrict processing of your personal data, and to object to processing or withdraw consent. To exercise these rights, email us at the address below. You can also unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link in any marketing message.

9. Children

The Service is not directed to children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us and we will delete it.

10. Third-party platforms

We only analyze publicly visible content from the profiles you submit. Your relationship with those platforms (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn, etc.) is governed by their own terms and privacy policies. We recommend you review them.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. If we make material changes we will notify you by email or through the Service. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the updated Policy.
